BC3 as compare tool in Serena Dimensions

I am using Serene Dimensions 10.1.2 and have configured to use BC3 as the compare tool. The first compare works fine, but second and subsequent get "error opening file". Work around at the moment is to close BC3 before each compare. Used to have BC2 configured and worked fine - but it did not use tabs. Has any one come across this and have a solution?

Hi Peter,

Make sure you're calling "bcomp.exe" from Dimensions. If you use "bcompare.exe", it can give the "error opening file" behavior you describe when running multiple comparisons.

that was the problem - thank you! And congrats on the continuing great work with Beyond Compare - have used it corporately for a few years and has been of tremendous benefit.
