    Never Align

I have tried the 'Never align differences' option in Session settings, but this does not do what I am looking for (Not sure what it actually does)

    Suppose I have two files
    A
    B
    C
    D

    and
    A
    B
    D
    E

I want my comparison to show

    A A
    B B
    C D
    D E

and not (as it currently shows)
    A A
    B B
    C (null)
    D D
    (null) E

Is there a way of doing this in BC4 ?

    Hello,

The "Unaligned" radial button in the Text Compare's Session menu -> Session Settings, Alignment tab should do what you are looking for.

"Never align differences" means that if two lines line up because of the current algorithm, but are different from one another, this would push them up or down and not directly line them up.
