New forum software

Just to say , this new forum software looks much better than the old. But I think it was a bad decision to require reregistration.

Thanks, Chris. At some point we're going to upgade the "main" forums to vBulletin also, and merge these with them. Then you'll have a single login again.

Yes, it is a step forward, especially considering attachments and the WYSIWYG-editor.

But one thing doesn't yet work as smooth like in the old forum:
When I'm logged in and have finished reading the new posts since my last visit, the forum software needs some minutes to realize that. It still marks the already read thread as unread.
When I refresh in Firefox after a few minutes all markings are correct.

Has someone else noticed that inconsistency?
Is that a confuiguration issue or a bug?

It is already there!
When you use Firefox or Opera there is a feed icon displayed in the address bar where the current URL is displayed.

Works great ...

If you don't see the RSS icon in the address bar of your browser, you can also enter a special URL to get the RSS feed. Details are in the forum FAQ:

Yes, I have noticed that the the links in Firefox do not show as read for a while. Ironically I was thinking just that as I was trying to catch up on the posts. I thought for certain that it used to (even on the new bulletin software).
