    Importance in folder compare

When I compare 2 *.py files in text compare, I choose: ignore unimportant differences.
Therefore I first untick my own "logging" grammar elements (btw how do I save this unticked state?)
Now a nice compare is possible without being distracted from unimportant elements.

I like to do the same in folder compare. It shouldn't show a difference when it only differs in these "logging" lines. I choose rule-based comparison and then all I can do more, is go to the tab misc and edit the grammar. I can not tell it to ignore my "logging" lines.

How to make this possible after all?

When you save your change to your grammer elements to make them unimportant, be sure to select the "Also update session defaults" option in the dropdown next the the OK button. This will cause the change to be default for all new sessions. In your folder compare session, enable the "Ignore Unimportant Differences" button on the toolbar [] before initiating your rule-based compare.

      Works. Thanks.

BC is becoming so featured nowadays, I struggle to keep up.
