    3-way Data Merge

    Hi,

Just letting you know I could really use a 3-way merge using the data compare method.

I've spent a couple of days cobbling something together to do the task, but it's nowhere near as pretty BC.

Is there something of the kind on the horizon?

    Hello,

Thanks for the feedback. Would one of your data files be considered a common ancestor of the other two, or would it be 3 files side by side you were looking to compare (with keys, columns, and other Data Session features)?

Yes, one of the three is a common ancestor.

      1. Recently downloaded version
      2. Previously downloaded version [Ancestor]
      3. Previously downloaded version with local fixes

Situation: Another party provides (mostly static) data, but fixes and improvements are applied locally. Periodically, the other party updates their data, and I want those updates without losing the local edits.
