Data Compare-no column headings displayed

Hi,

I try to compare excel files by using data compare. I notice that the column headings are not displayed for all excel files. I'm wondering if there is any way I can get all column headings populated for all files without typing them from session setting.

Hello,

It sounds like the format may not be detecting if the first row is always a title. Go to the Tools menu -> File Formats, and edit the specific format (or make a new one for your file extension), and in the Type tab, enable "First Row Contains: Column names"
