    Can't Undo Open Clipboard

In a merge session, I clicked "open clipboard" from the right-click context menu in the right pane to see what it would do. Without a warning, my right pane was overlaid with the contents of the clipboard...not a problem so long as I can undo it...but Ctrl+Z would not undo the change, and the undo arrow on the tool bar was grayed out.

    Michael,

"Open Clipboard" is not the same as a paste. It is like "Open File", which you also can't undo.

Okay, fair enough. Is there a good reason why it could not be treated as a replace-all paste? Or why it cannot be added as a configurable option?

        Michael,

        1. The input panes (left, center, right) have editing disabled in the Text Merge so pasting wouldn't even work.

        2. Unlike a paste, "Open Clipboard" does a full alignment.

Oh yeah, that's right. I was in a Merge session. Duh! Thanks for the explanation.
