I typically use the Novell Migration Utility to migrate a server from old hardware to new. I do a first copy of the data while everyone is logged in, then when it comes time for cutover, I do a second copy with everyone logged out, at night. Then the wizard does the directory serviced identity migration.
Unfortunately, Arcserver backup program touched all the files and the Migration Wizard wanted to copy all the files again, not just the changed files. It took 11 hours to copy it the first time and this is a server to server sms copy (several hundred gig) Oh Noooo!!!!! Beyond Compare to the rescue, again. I compared the files, copied the changes from old to new and I was done in an hour.
