Can beyond compare work with extremely large files?

My job is to diff xml files.

The files are about 3.3 million lines each, 100mb total.

Beyond compare crashes when opening these. Can beyond compare handle these files?

Beyond Compare 3's current upper limits should be around 500 meg for the Text Compare (used for XML files).

BC3's trial is fully featured, so if you are encountering a crash in the trial it would be in the full version, too. We would be interested in helping you track down the cause.

Are you using the default XML file format, or have you installed any of the additional ones from our website?

It turned out to be the "xml sorted" plugin. I had downloaded it to play with, but it was defaulting to that when I did xml files.

Changing it to normal xml stopped the crashing issue.
