Alignment problems

I've been seeing some issues with alignment in Java code - when the code is indented with tabs, some blocks are not aligning when they obviously should do. Convert the indents to spaces and the blocks align.

Is this a known problem? Is it specific to the Linux version? Some of these files DO have mixed indents (tabs in some lines, spaces in others), but converting them to uniform tabs doesn't seem to rectify this.
