10554 Adoption of FTP profile change

Once I have used an FTP profile, I see no way of getting a profile setting change (e.g. Encoding) to take effect on that tab, short of closing the tab/app and reopening. I suggest BC should push through changes.

Thanks. Meanwhile, is there a better workaround than closing tab and reopening?

Full Refresh (Ctrl+F5) will forcibly close any open FTP connections. The profile settings are read whenever a new connection is opened.

Apparently not reproduced here. With a connection open and copying, I changed that profile's Simultaneous connections: from 1 to 5 and in a new BC instance attempted to open a new Folder Compare using that profile - two mins later I still had the flashing Stop button and no content listing. Cancelling the first instance's copy caused the second instance refresh to complete.

I do not believe the server is imposing a connections limit.

Then I closed and reopened both sessons, restarted the first's copy, and did the second's refresh - it succeeded. That firmly suggests to me that

              is inaccurate.
