    Zip-handling with non .zip extension

    Hi there.

I'm very new to BC, just installed it. Searched the forum, but found nothing appropriate for my special problem. Sorry if I overlooked it.

I regularly have to work with large Zip files which feature - please don't ask me why - a different name extension. Like file.scs instead of file.zip. Changing the file extension to file.zip is not an option.

BC doesn't recognize the nature of the content and start a hex comparison instead of to open both zip files as virtual folders. Is there any chance to change this?

BC standard version for Windows (running Vista), fully up to date.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Reinhard,

You can configure the file associations BC treats as zips in the Options dialog on the "Folder Compare" tab.
