It works!

The simpliest way is to use the free Mocha FTP server on the mobile device, and to compare using the BC3 FTP client on the WM side.

Using the port 21 does not seem to work , but using something else (like 5521) is working thru ActiveSync (and also thru Wi-Fi) .

When using ActiveSync, the mobile IP is 169.254.2.1 as displayed on mine; and thru my Wifi connection, the IP is 192.168.1.105 as defined in my WiFi router.

With WM 6.5 and USB connection, how is the best way to identify the IP address of the mobile device to enable folder/file compare via FTP?

Can we expect an update soon to enable compare via the file system option instead of FTP?

Hello,

Currently, the file system needs to show the device as having a drive letter to be viewed in Beyond Compare (or as an FTP or network share).
