Hi,
I'm using the Pro Release version 3.0 of Beyond Compare.
When I load a file into either pane during a Text Merge session, the last line of the file appears to be duplicated (if that last line is considered important).
If I load the same file into both panes, the extra line is no longer shown.
This appears to be true for files of any type. It is also important to note that the encoding of the files on my machine is Windows 1252: Western European, though this behavior occurs for other encoding types as well (I've tried UTF-16 Big Endian).
This behavior does not occur during Text Compare sessions.
A simple workaround is to add an unimportant line (like a trailing hard return) to the files being compared. However, I can't be sure that the Beyond Compare engine will correctly match/update the last line of the file as this fix may affect the the display only.
Please help,
David Andres
