I'd suggest that there needs to be some highlighting, (ideally via a dynamic display of some sort, but that's another issue!) of the way this works, as it's not as might be expected.
E.g., I was trying to match folders, e.g. "Asia" with "Asia (1982)" and while "Asia=Asia (1982)" worked, all my tries using wild cards failed until I came to the forum, searched & found the comments about needing to produce a "single, unambiguous filename to look for on the right."
After that, I swapped sides, meaning that "* (*)=*" worked 'as expected', but some hint in the dialog/program help of the mechanism and particulalry the non-symetrical nature of the matching would have been helpful...
