    Replacements in a Folder Compare

I have two folders each with 700 files in them. The files in one folder have an additional prefix in the front of the file name (see screenshot). How do I align the two lists of files to check for differences? There is no "Replacements" tab in the rules dialog for a folder session.

Use "Alignment overrides" on the "Misc" page of Session Settings. You can also use Align With....

Sorry, but neither method worked. Please see my screencast.

Actually, Align With... did work - it aligned the 2 files you told it to (the newly aligned item is hidden because of your display filters).

For your alignment override, you need to add a trailing "*" to both ("TD4603_usp*" and "usp*") because the pattern has to match the entire name.

Duh! I was still in text replacement mode. Thanks. Worked like a charm.
