Is there any support for syntax highlighting in BC?

The current version doesn't support syntax highlighting, but it will be in version 3 of Beyond Compare.

The actual version may not be able to do a full syntax highlighting but the information about "un/important" differences is already built in.
Is there a possibility for a poor-man's-highlighting that allows to choose different color/background settings for un/important lines?

To change the File Viewer colors, select Tools|Options from the menu. In the Options dialog, go to the File Viewer > Colors section.
