    Compare Files in subfolders

Hi all, I've downloaded the trial version of BC V4 to evaluate the software. I have a folder with 3 subfolders. In each subfolder, there are other subfolders and files. There are files in different subfolder locations with the same name.
Can BC compare the files and flag the duplicate file based on filename or checksum? Please advise.

    Hello,

This depends on the number of duplicates. BC4 can remove the subfolder structure and align all files by file name regardless of the subfolder they were in, but only if only one instance of the file exists on the Left side and Right side. This is done with the toolbar or View menu -> Ignore Folder Structure view mode.

If there are many files with the same name, or differing names but equal content, then BC4 does not automatically scan and align them. This is something on our longer term wishlist.
