Text from clipboard containing unicode / emoji is not pasted correctly

Hi, when I take this text:

and paste it to BC4 on macOS Mojave (text compare), I get this:

(I tried searching the forums but didn't find a thread that would be dealing with this. I'm quite sure I'm not the first one to encounter it so sorry if my search skills failed me.)

Oh, editing the original post actually screwed up the emoji as well

The ability to display Emoji in the file views is something on our wishlist. I'll add your notes and example case to our entry on the subject.
