Mirror to right and rename, not re-copy renamed files

Hello, I'm in a predicament. I have renamed many files on my left side that I want to mirror to my right. I had previously done a mirror a few weeks ago. My issue is that during the mirror it doesn't recognize that these are the same files that have simply been renamed. It doesn't just rename the files on the right to the new name. Instead it deletes them and copies the renamed files on the left to the right.

This is making the mirror take way longer than needed and doing unnecessary wear to my hard drives.

Is there any way for the mirror to recognize renames and simply rename them instead of recopying the same file?

Sorry, Beyond Compare doesn't recognize file renames. It's on the feature request list for a future version. In the current version, mirror will delete, then copy renamed files.
