Hello all,

I am using Beyond Compare and I really like it,
it is a precious help with my daily work.

A few days ago a question came up:

Is it possible to show only files that are the SAME on both sides?

Hello,

Yes, on the Toolbar (or View menu ->) you can set to Show Same.

The Same status is assigned based on the configured criteria. The default is timestamp/size. You could also enable a content scan in the Session menu -> Session Settings, Comparison tab: leave timestamp, size, override enabled, and also enable Compare Contents: Binary (or Rules-based).

This scan works on aligned items (same name and folder location) on both sides. The folders can optionally be ignored, but file names should match in order to then be compared.
