How to avoid "Error opening folder" warning popup?

Assume I compare two folders, then exit BC and delete/move/rename one or two of the folders.

The next time I start BC a warning popup appears "Error opening folder".

How can I prevent this popup?

It is for me sufficient when "Error opening folder" is written in the directory entry field at the top.

Beyond Compare will always display an error dialog if you try to load a folder that doesn't exist. It isn't possible to disable the behavior.
