    Replace if it different

    Hello,
    I am looking for a solution to substitute all differences in 2 files.

    For clarification an example:
    right | left
    abc1c | abc2c

    as a result I want:
    abc?c | abc?c

    Hello,

    The Text Replacements feature of BC3 Pro can define a specific change, but not a variable difference. Is 1=2 constant, or do the numbers shift randomly?

    So, you could define the Text Compare's Session menu -> Session Settings, Replacements tab as
    abc.c = abc2c
    to match on any abc?c = abc2c, but the matching side would need to explicitly define "2".

    You can also generally define Unimportance, where the whole pattern (abc?c) could be unimportant.
