File reports generated by include-file-links option need to have mismatches only.

    Hi,

I am using the below script to compare the folders. In that, am using include-file-links option.
The Text report generated by the include-file-links option doesn't show only mismatches, but its showing all matches and mismatches instead.

    log "%4"
    criteria binary
    load "%1" "%2"
    expand all
    folder-report layout:side-by-side options:display-mismatches-no-orphans,include-file-links output-to:"%3" output-options:html-color

Is there any way to have the linked Text report with mismatches alone.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Dinesh

      Hello,

The linked file reports follow the state of the child session type. You'll need to launch the graphical interface, into the Text Compare, and set the Display Filters, then close BC4. Then try re-running your script.

        Thanks for the response Aaron!

I tried the same as you mentioned above. It worked as expected.
Actually what my concern is, we have installed the BC 4 in our shared server so every user may access the graphical interface and change the Display parameters. So every time some manual intervention is required when we execute the script.

Is there anyway to set the display parameters (for linked text reports) through the script itself. It will be much better if this feature available.

        Thanks,
        Dinesh

          Hello,

Not in the current version, but you could create a separate Portable Install of BC4 that remains static for scripting.

              Hello,

If you run the setup.exe downloaded from our website, the install wizard asks if you want a Portable Install and the location (which needs to be read/write accessible for any user, like C:\Tools\Beyond Compare 4\).
              http://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php

You can then use a combination of the old install's Tools menu -> Export, and the new install's Tools menu -> Import to bring your settings over.
