My VPN breaks my ability to FTP using Beyond Compare

Beyond Compare is part of my daily workflow, but I've found that a VPN is also becoming something I use every day. Whenever I have my VPN turned on, I can't access my FTP sites properly with Beyond Compare. (My VPN is Private Internet access, and so far Beyond Compare is the only software I use that has an issue when connected to this VPN.) In the log at the bottom, it seems to log-in okay, but it pauses when it gets to Sent> MLSD. It disconnects witht he message "Unable to load… Read timed out." I've pasted the log below.

This is definitely connected to the VPN, as it happens every time, and if I quit the VPN, everything works fine.

Hello,

It looks like you are loading an FTPS. If you load the same address in another FTP log (like Filezilla), could you post that log so we can compare (or email at [email protected] along with a link back to this forum thread for our reference)? We can then compare the logs to see how BC4 is handling things differently.

Thanks very much for getting back to me. I don't actually use any other FTP software, only Beyond Compare. Rather than trying to pinpoint the issue, I think it will be easier to just disconnect from the VPN every time I need to do FTP. Thanks for your offer of looking through logs though, I appreciate that.
