    XML comparison

I had some questions about comparing XML in Beyond Compare.

Is there an option to pretty-print/format the XML first, and then compare it? The XML I have comes in a giant blob with no newlines or formatting. I am looking for the actual differences between these, and I know that the structure is the same, and the elements are in the same order.

In the case where two XML documents have the same structure but the order is different, is there an option to sort the elements by name, prior to comparing?

Use the XML Tidied or XML Sorted file formats from our Additional File Formats page to format/sort XML before comparison.

Thanks! Just installed XML Tidied, on Windows. I got a "Conversion Error" now. These are just XML blobs that I pasted into Notepad and saved into two different files.

If you can share the XML files that are throwing the error, please email them to [email protected] along with your settings and we'll investigate. To save your settings to a file, open Help > Support and click the Export button.
