Default Compare PDF text to Word text

    Hi:

I am comparing a Word document to its PDF counterpart. But the text in the PDF are split into lines while DOC is in one long line. How do I compare them?

    Thanks a lot!

Sorry, Beyond Compare can't compare across line breaks. This means:

    one
    two

    and

    one two

will always show as a difference.

You'll have to use Save As to save one of the files as .txt outside of Beyond Compare, then edit the line breaks so they match the other file before you can compare them.

Thank you so much for the explanation. I had 2 word files with such line break differences and I though that Beyond Compare has gone mad! Glad I found this thread and did not create a new thread.
