File Compare => Copy complete file

I'm comparing two text files with some important and a lot of ignored unimportant differences. When these important differences are acceptable I'd like to copy the whole file from one side to the other (like I would do a copy and paste in Windows explorer).
Is this possible in BC4?

Hello,

If launched from a parent Folder Compare, the Text Compare's Search menu -> Copy File To Left and Open Next Difference will be a visible command.

Or from the Folder Compare, you can select a file and Copy to Side.

I know that it's possible in Folder Compare. But I only compare two single files.
I guess that would be a feature request then?

I second this.
And more suggestions:
+ It should work in all file compares.
+ It should also work for the pair with different filenames.


Currently I have to do such steps:
Compare Parent Folders;
(Align the pair if needed; )
Copy to Side.


Currently "Copy File To Left/Right and Open Next Difference" command works only for the aligned pair.
Please also improve it.


Besides, such a "Copy File to Left/Right" command would bring more benefits:
Can keep the file timestamps.
Can copy non-editable files.
A fast and convenient way to view and update a single backup file.


Really hope to see it soon.



Another suggestion:
Sometimes "Exchange" commands are also needed in Text Compare,
Not only for the whole file,
But also for the text.

Given the type of comparison structure and extensive work needed, it is unlikely this would be a feature that we could tackle soon. It's something on our radar, but not something that we'll be able to include short-term.
