Confused about line endings (CR vs CRLF)...

Hi,

Left file is on Windows PC, has only LF (0xA) line endings (when viewed using Windows Notepad, appears as single line).

Right file is on Linux Server, has only LF (0xA) line endings.

BC4 shows that right file has CRLF (0xD 0xA) line endings... did I do something wrong...?

Hello,

Did you perform any copies or saves from Left to Right? The Tools menu -> Profiles, select your specific profile, Transfer tab has the option to transfer as Auto, ASCII, or Binary. If you switch this to Binary and restart BC4, and begin working with fresh files compared to previously accessed files, does it work as expected?

I may have copied, but I don't remember...

I selected Binary, and now all is as expected.
