If you use Balsamiq Mockups version 3, then you might know already that the project file *.bmpr is in a binary format. For people who use version control, or otherwise, and would like to compare differences in files in a more readable text format I have created a new file format. You can find more details here:

You can download a pre-packaged file format, ready to import in Beyond Compare over here:

This file format uses a BMPR to JSON converter (https://github.com/waqasilyas/json-converter-bmpr) to convert the binary BMPR format to a more readable JSON format, and also adds the necessary grammar. It currently only works on Windows, and requires .NET 4.5.
Please have a look and please be aware that this is very basic right now, so keep your expectations low
