Character by Character/Difference by difference text merge

    Hi,

New here. I looked on forum and documentation but didn't find the answer.

I want to see if BC has the ability to do character by character / difference by difference "take"/merge ability.

I know Control+Shift+N moves to the next difference, but it seems that I can only do "take"/merge on the line level, not on the difference/character level, is that correct? I tried to highlight the single difference and look in the settings but it seems like the smallest unit of merging is line, is that correct?

I am trying to merge two typists' work so it would be nice to be able to merge on a difference by difference level.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting. Copying intra line differences between sides or merging is something on our wishlist, but not currently supported. In the Merge you could take one full line or neither, but then paste in specific other sections manually as a workaround. Unfortunately, this is quite a bit slower and not as graceful as your suggestion.
