    Replacements

    In File compare there is the option of replacements, but in Folder compare I can't find it.
    I would like to compare folders of project ABC: ABC.FOO, ABC.BAR with with project DEF: DEF.FOO and DEF.BAR
    Is function available? Where?
    If not: Is this function planned for an upcomming release?

    Tnx

    Hello,

    On the Folder level it is a Pro feature in the Session Settings, Misc tab, new Alignment Override. This can define a rule to align different folder or file names that are on the same folder tree level:
    ABC = DEF
    which should align these two folders, then the same named items inside also align.

    You can also quick define by selecting an item, right-click -> Align With, then click on the other side item (again, an item in the same tree level).

      Thanks.
      Why not align the naming of the tabs?

        Sorry, which "tabs" are you referring to? The Directory tree level is important and the relative branching is important to the alignment. The tabbed interface that can load multiple sessions, and the tab's name is the session name or folder pair name.

        Alignment is entirely controlled by the file structure and file name. Aligning by other attributes (size, CRC, etc) is on our wishlist, but is not supported. Structure can be removed, but this mode assumes all file names in any subfolder have unique names (no duplicates).
