SFTP Connection error (-1)

I'm using SFTP to connect to a digital ocean instance. It seems to work fine at first but then if I leave it for 5 minutes or so and then come back and save/copy a file to the server it gives me the error "Connection error (-1)". Then if I try again a few times it starts working again. Here's what the error looks like:

25/10/2016 13:39:02 Connection failed: Connection error (-1)
25/10/2016 13:39:02 Unable to load sftp://[email protected]//xxx: Connection error (-1)

Has anyone encountered this or knows where to start with working out what the issue is?

Hello,

That sounds like a server timeout. When you try again, is it reconnecting to the server?

Hi Aaron. Yes, that's right it manages to reconnect after a minute or two.
