Using BeyondCompare inside Visual Studio 2015 with Git source control

I want to be able to use BC as the default compare and merge tool in Visual Studio 2015 when using the Git source control provider. How can this be achieved globally?

Please be sure you are running the most recent versions of Git, BC4, and have Visual Studio patches applied. Then you can refer to this KB article:

Thanks, that's worked a treat (I had the path's wrong! !). It's would be worth noting in your documentation that the configuration can also be put into the main .gitconfig file and will then apply to all projects in Visual Studio.
