Ignore a Difference Where the Value Is Present in Another Column in the Same File

Hello folks,

If I am comparing File A (left) and File B(right), is it possible to ignore differences in a particular column of B if the correct value is present in another specified column in B?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Not without aligning those two columns in the Data Compare. Assuming you are in a Data Compare session (rows, columns and cells), you can use the Session menu -> Session Settings dialog, Columns tab. Here each 'cell' represents a column of the left or right file, and you can use the arrow buttons to re-align columns. If you re-align the columns to match, then the data would be equal and not marked as a difference, assuming it occurs on the same row.
