19761 Text Compare: line numbering disturbed by long lines

Long lines can cause insertion of extra line numbers, such that line numbers fail to accord with with source: http://i.imgur.com/OmhI9gx.png

I see nowhere in program or documentation that gives any warning of this.

Workaround: increase line length limit http://i.imgur.com/bwIeSla.png -> http://i.imgur.com/Us1LHBV.png

Thanks for the report. Adding/altering the display to reflect that the line limit has been hit is on our radar. In the meantime, as you found, you'll need to increase the limit in the format for files that exceed the limit.

Thanks, but I'd prefer a fix to the problem. Don't insert extra line numbers
