Context Menu is not working on Ubunutu 14.04

I do not see the compare entry on the context menu. There is an Open With Other Application... entry, but when I select that BC is not even listed.

I am using BC 4.0.7 (19761) on Ubuntu 14.04 using MATE Desktop 1.8.2

    Hello,

Ubuntu 14.04 context menus work with the default context handler (nautilus). We do not support all custom Window solutions out of the box, but do have instructions for custom context menu installation:

Do you know the context menu location for MATE?

I have the same problem, though I'm on Mint 14 (equivalent to Ubuntu 12.10?), running MATE. The extensions go in /usr/lib/caja/extensions-2.0/ (Caja's a fork of Nautilus 2.0).

I tried adding the Beyond Compare extension as described in your link, but it doesn't work. Does your extension support Gnome2?

If I really need the context menu, I can run Nautilus 3.0 within MATE, but it'd be awesome if the extension supported Caja.

        Hello,

We've had general issues with Mint 14 context menu support on a whole. It's an open tracker issue that we're working on.
