No multiple select in folder compare

    Beyond Compare 3.3.12
    Kubuntu 13.10

When running a folder compare, I cannot slect multiple files or multiple folders. Usually this is enabled by holding down the shift key and up or down arrow.

    Hello,

I set up a test environment with Kubuntu 13.10 64bit, and BC 3.3.12, and both Shift+Mouse or arrow keys seem to work as expected. Click and Dragging also is a multiple select. Is there anything customized or non-standard about your setup?

      Hi Aaron,

I can use the mouse to multiple select, up or down, both sides (left and right), so mouse is okay. The only thing different with BC in this release, was I had it on 'trial' for quite a while, then when it ran out of days (yesterday), I entered the key. All is pretty much standard, there is nothing like a keyboard tweak or similar. I can use the shift+arrows okay in Dolphin, the default file explorer in Kubuntu.

Being an "old DOS man", I always use shift+arrows. I see I can't even use the up or down arrow in folder compare. I have to use the mouse to click on a file or folder.

I will try re-installing from the .deb, it is https://www.scootersoftware.com/bcom...18414_i386.deb . Nope, same problem.

Here is what I installed after Kubuntu 13.10 was installed ..

      KMail
      kfind
      firefox
      hplip-gui
      simple-scan
      gphotofs
      sbackup
      vlc
      Filezilla
      flashplugin-installer
      kubuntu-restricted-extras
      Bluefish Editor
      gimp
      fdupes
      picocom
      php5-cli

I don't use the NVidia drivers, if that helps ??

      Thanks,

      Peter

        Hello,

Ah, thanks for the details. I have reproduced the issue with the up/down arrow and we'll get that fixed in the next BC3 release. In the meantime, please use the mouse to perform the shift+click to select multiple files.

Page up or page down don't work either.

            Thanks

              Hello,

This should also be fixed in 3.3.13, once it's available. We're testing a potential candidate now.

Thanks Aaron, I'm using 3.3.13 now and the following are now fixed:

                * Page up/page down (either side)
                * Multiple files or multiple folders select (left side, right side or both)

                Thanks for fixing those.

                Peter

Thanks for verifying, Peter. If you see anything else that's an issue in 3.3.13, please let us know.
