    How to compare picture metadata

I'm using BC4 Beta and love the new visual compare for pictures.

How, though, can I compare two pictures' METADATA? I can't figure out for the life of me how to compare caption, tags, etc. as I know I could in BC 3...?

I'm sure it's user error, so please be kind ;-)

Beyond Compare 3 and 4 don't support metadata comparison in the Picture Compare.

If you're comparing JPG files, you can compare EXIF information as text in the Text Compare using the "EXIF Headers" file format. The format is compatible with v3 and v4.

Download the "EXIF Headers" format here:

Comparison of image metadata in the Picture Compare is on our wish list for a future version.

Beyond Compare now supports comparing EXIF and IPTC tags in JPEG and TIFF files with the release of version 4.2 beta.

To compare tags, load the files in the Picture Compare, then click the Meta toolbar button.
