Filtering info on a Data Compare session

Is there some way to filter data visible in a data compare session by data in a column? This would be similar to how Excel allows a filter on any column of a worksheet one you turn filtering on.

    Hello,

The View menu -> Columns dialog allows you to toggle the visibility of columns. The contents are still compared (determined differently by marking the column as Unimportant or adding tolerance).

      Filtering...

What meant by my question was is there a way to filter rows based on the values in a column?

If I had 2 data files about books I was comparing to see changes between the 2 files, and I only wanted to see books (rows) by a specific author or subject, is that possible? As I said in my initial post, it would be like the filter feature in Excel.

        Hello,

Ah, no, BC3's Data Compare does not support filtering a row based on a text value.

You could use the Find dialog to jump between instances of specific text, but we do not support collapsing the other rows based on a search.
