The "backspace" key doesn't delete

In the Text Compare window, pressing the backspace key displays the About message box. I think it should delete the character on the left of the cursor, as it normally does in a text editor. The current behaviour makes editing in the Text Compare window a difficult task.

If you go to the Preferences dialog, and Toolbars,etc section, the "About Beyond Compare" is the first item, so it may be easy to accidentally have assigned its Shortcut/hotkey. If it is set, Remove it (or Default) and Backspace should then work as you expect.

Oops, my mistake

Indeed, the backspace key was assigned to the "About Beyond Compare" command on my preferences. Most probably I did that by mistake when I explored the Settings window for the first time and I didn't realize that.

No error here (except for PEBKAC.) Case closed.
