    Moved Dir

    I need to compare 2 directories in different places. I had to copy it from 1 location to another. So the original is in say \\servername\private and then in a directory RD\OLD\PRO Stuff and I copied just PRO STUFF to \\servername\private in a dir RD\PROSTUFF

    How can I compare those 2?

    Hello,

    The best solution would be to set the Base folders to match the subdirectory structure.
    \\servername\private\RD\OLD\PRO Stuff <-> \\servername\private\RD\ProStuff

    Directories in a different level of a subdirectory would not be able to be aligned. If they were on the same tree level, you can use the Alignment Override. Alignment Overrides is a BC3 Pro feature which can align an item that has been renamed (but not moved to a different level).
    If you don't have BC3 Pro, you can trial it following this guide:

    You can also set BC3 to Ignore Folder Structure to compare files in any subdirectories by removing the the folder structure. This would require unique file names in all subdirectories.
