If you have BC open already, and you try to do a new compare using the Finder context Menu, BC will become active and get focus, after you choose the "Select Left Folder for Compare" option.
Ideally, BC would not gain focus at all until the "Compare Folders" option is selected and BC can do an actual compare.
I also noticed that if BC is not open, simply selecting the "Select Left Folder for Compare" will start BC, but no window appears, and although the BC app is in focus by looking at the menu bar, since no window appears, it does not impede with my desktop and other windows, allowing me to find the second folder to do the compare with.
