I occasionally get the message - Unable to create report: Cannot create file "C:\users\....\AppData\Local\Temp|BC34A0F.tmp. The process Cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
I am looping through a list of files to compare using VS2012(VB), constructing a command line, and submitting the command line to cmd.exe - as follows - Process.Start("C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe", strRunCmprCMD) - where strRunCmprCMD is updated with new file names during each look and submitted. This list may include 20 to over 100's of files to compare.
I believe this is a timing issue where the tmp file may be busy with the previous compare while attempting to run the next compare.
What is the easiest way to eliminate timing issues when running multiple back to back compares?
Thanks,
