    Extending Trial Period

I've attached a license key that will extend the trial period in BC4 Mac to 30 days plus an additional 15 day grace period.

If your trial is running low, select "Beyond Compare > Enter Key" from the menu and paste in the key to extend the trial period.

The attached key can be entered multiple times, it is valid through September 1, 2013.

Please let us know if you have any trouble entering the license key, or if you have any feedback on the trial period or license key system in BC4 Mac.

Thanks again for helping us alpha test!

Edit: I attached a new trial extension key valid through September 1.
Edit2: Trial Extension key that will activate through November 1.
Edit3: Trial Extension key that will activate through Jan 1.
Edit4: Trial Extension key that will activate through Feb 1.

Thanks for your help testing BC4 during the private beta period. We offered this trial extension key as a means to help users test Beyond Compare 4's beta before we had the ability to generate individual licenses. Now that we've launched as a public beta, we would ask users to follow the upgrade policy to obtain their license for BC4's beta, 4.0, and any 4.x updates.

Please note that registration is never required to fix an error or bug, or enable a feature. The beta/trial is fully featured, so if you are running into *any* issues, please report them so we can help troubleshoot. You can create a new forum thread or email us at [email protected].

If the 30 days of use is an insufficient trial period for your testing, please contact us at [email protected] with a detailed account of your schedule, and we can work with you to meet your needs.

      Key expired July 22nd.

Will you be releasing a new key? Or selling the program soon?

FYI.. Good news the BC4 properly detects that the key is expired

I regenerated another key and bumped out the trial start time.

Will you be releasing another Trial extension key? The current one that is available says it is only good until 2/1/14.

                  Thanks!

We're still working these systems out, but if needed we'll extend again.

Although, as we approach Feb 1, you can still activate to perform an extension, which should then last beyond that time limit. Feb 1st is the activation time limit.

Thank you for clarifying. I'm all set now through February.

New key for BC4 through now that it's > Feb 1?

                        Hi ...

Old BC3 user here, eager to try BC4, which I downloaded today. The key at the beginning of this thread has expired. Will you please issue a new key?

                        Thanks!

                          Hello Ken,

The key in this thread was designed to help users extend beyond the normal trial period during our private beta phase, before we had the ability to generate a license key. It did not register the program or unlock any additional features; it only pushed back the expiration date of the trial.

Now that we've launched into public beta, we also offer users the ability to upgrade/purchase their license (which will work for any 4.x updates). This helps us test our storefront, too. As an old BC3 users, you would very likely qualify for some form of discount (depending on when you purchased your license). Please follow the steps in this KB article to calculate:
