Support for Google WebP in picture compare

Google's open source WebP image format is about 50% smaller than jpeg and it'd be nice if BC supported it.

So far only Opera and Webkit browsers support it.

    More on WebP: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/docs/using

    Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can add looking into this to our Customer Wishlist. In the meantime, you would need to run a binary scan on these files in the Folder Compare instead of attempting to open them in the Picture Compare.

The image compare also supports external conversions before comparing files, so you could use dwebp to convert to PNG. It'll be slower than built-in support, since it has to launch a new process for each file, but should work reasonably well.

If you install this Windows codec, you'll get webp thumbnails in explorer and image compare in BC works with webp images.
