Request: Status / Progress Indicator

One of my pet peeves with any app is not being able to tell when it is doing something and when it is done. I am thinking of when BC does a large compare I have to watch the folder colors to see if they change. Or when I am uploading files to a remote server with BC. I just kinda have to guess when it is done. Any thoughts about adding a Status / Progress Indicator or something like growl notifications (for processes lasting more than 5 seconds)?

Improving out background task notification is something on our wishlist. In the meantime, our main notifier is the Abort/Cancel button in the top toolbar. If it is blinking/animating, the scan is still going. It will grey out once complete. The folder colors are also an indicator of progress.
