Problem with latest version of open-jdk?

I have been using BC on Ubuntu (Precise) for six months, but this week it keeps crashing. There are no error messages, it just disappears.

Also on Monday Ubuntu started getting 'kernel panics' and 'java taints' while running Netbeans (again, stable for the last six months).

I have reinstalled Ubuntu from scratch and now Netbeans seems more stable but BC still disappears.

This is running on Mac hardware, so I guess it's quite unusual - just wondering if anybody else is getting similar problems?

I am going to change to the official Oracle Java JRE, see if that is any better.

Hello,

We do not have a Mac machine set up to run an Ubuntu environment to test against, at this time. Which Mac hardware would you be running this on? Are you using Ubuntu 64 or 32bit?
