15075 Bug: on Export settings sessions, SPACE displaces selection

1 Click Tools, Export Settings, Next
    2 Click the first session:

    3 Press Space Bar

Expected: selected item uncheckmarked and still selected.
Observed: selected item uncheckmarked and selection jumps to another session:

This on Win XP SP3 EDIT: and on Win7 Pro 64-bit.

I see that the session that gets selected has a space as its first character, so apparently auto-search is the culprit. I expect the same would happen under Win7. I'm not sure we'd want to change the behavior.

It does - thanks, report corrected.

One keypress having two effects is silly. It prevents the user arrowing down the list tapping space to change successive entries.

And if we change it, it prevents the user from locating an item by typing its name. This is a case of two useful features conflicting. You can easily avoid the issue by not having session names start with a space.

Let me rephrase my earlier statement: I'll need to study the issue more before committing to any change.

Only where the name starts with space.
