Unfortunately, our Alignment Override does not support matching x to y unless at least x or y is explicitly defined.

For example, you can define the 'left' side to use a RegEx mask to match on x regardless of the x text. However, the With Right side needs text defined or to use matched expressions ($1) and cannot use RedEx expressions. The yyyy text needs to be typed into the Alignment Override.

Expanding this behavior is on our wishlist, but currently, Alignment Overrides are designed to help more with the case where large sets of files have had the same change made throughout, like:
*.mpg = * (HD).mpg
